The Lord showed me that the church He is building is a people who are one with Him reflecting His perfect will from the foundations of all time. It is a church that like Him is love and not that we are doing love, but being love as He is love. The nature of who we are and how we are in the world is His nature and is what we are becoming more and more. All the while over the last few years, it has become apparent that He has been drawing us ever deeper in close fellowship with Him where there is trust, safety and honesty. By doing so He has been transforming and revealing the state of who we are – a holy people, a royal priesthood, reconcilers, lovers, friends and a unified family. He has drawn us into the family of the Trinity. We are one as He is one. We are being less of the old self and our real selves in Him is being revealed.
As we enter deeply into the reality of our union with Him, we have His heart and if we have His heart we have His will. We enact His will because we are His nature. We are His kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven. This is the path we are on. He showed me the great powers and miracles we will be witnessing will be about restoring His intentions and establishing His original design. When Jesus said, “I only do what I see the Father doing,” in essence He was indicating He had one heart, one mind and one spirit with the Father. Great miracles followed this relationship which is what we are being drawn into during this season. It takes time to establish this dynamic. This is why it has appeared to be taking so long for what we all are anticipating. This gloriousness we are entering into cannot be a rush job. I am still working on unbelief and many other character issues. Day by day we are all learning to relax in our relationship with Him and setting aside religious formalities and performances. Our relationship with Him is becoming more alive, more organic, a dance of love. Out of this we are finding that our hearts and our original design is infused with Him.
He is bringing us into acts that are solely one with His will, His being, His nature. Our motives will be His motives. Our prayers will be in harmony with His heart. We will be in holy communication with each other.
Being Refined
For over 2 millennia the Lord has been refining the church and the recent events are just a part of that refining, honing and perfecting. We are a part of His mission to bring us all to a point in history like no other. We are on the brink of amazing things whether in this generation or the next. Each day that goes by we are being promoted to the next level. Nothing has really halted. We are progressing. It’s a matter of perspective and the big picture. It’s never a time to give up or give into negative thinking, but to find the treasure right in front of us. That treasure is intimacy with Him, apprehending the depth of His love and friendship and staying in that. What matters the most is life with Him for each of us in however that plays out individually. Wisdom is in the present, in the now. The grass seems greener in the future and yet at our very feet is something not as fleeting as our imagination. We are in the garden of delights with Him now and this is where peace is. This is the furnace of great power and anointing.
We are being smelted like gold as it were with impurities coming to the surface. We are like gold in His refining fire and He is bringing out the best in us, His original design for us.
I feel like He is saying to stay in the grove and to be patient and to say yes to Him to let Him have His way with our growth. At some point in the future the church will have reached a tipping point like what happened in Acts. It will come in waves like it has throughout history. One of the most recent waves in history happened over a quarter of a century ago through the Toronto Blessing which swept the world changing lives and churches. History is coming to take a hold of us like it has many times before. It’s a certainty which is why He says to stay on the path and to keep on going.
Romans 12
Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith. For just as we have many parts in one body and all the body’s parts do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually parts of one another. However, since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them properly: if prophecy, in proportion to one’s faith; if service, in the act of serving; or the one who teaches, in the act of teaching; or the one who exhorts, in the work of exhortation; the one who gives, with generosity; the one who is in leadership, with diligence; the one who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
Love must be free of hypocrisy. Detest what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor, not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.
